Basic concepts of Modbus protocol
Modbus protocol was originally developed by Modicon, which supports various communication modes, including RS232, RS485 and RS422. Modbus protocol can be implemented in many ways, including Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII and Modbus TCP/IP.
